Eric Daniel Metzgar is the owner of Merigold Moving Pictures, a New York City-based film production company. Metzgar has produced and directed The Chances of the World Changing (2006) and Life. Support. Music. (2008).

Metzgar grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1998, where he studied journalism and wildlife management.

Merigold Moving Pictures was named in honor of Louise Merigold Metzgar, Eric's 103 year-old grandmother. The scripted logo was handwritten by Louise in June of 2006.
